My Very Own Library Program is a literacy initiative that provides access to books and learning resources for students in public elementary schools.
Each year we work with corporate, nonprofit, and schools to gift 10 books per year to thousands of elementary schools across the state in our 8 promising communities.
This year is unprecedented and we realize there are too many children without the supplies they need to enhance their reading and growing. We are assembling over 6,000 literacy kits to support children in Delaware.
Volunteers will help us assemble the literacy kits. Masks are required. Social distancing is required. All volunteers will be asked to have their temperature taken upon arrival.
Our COVID 19 waiver is mandatory and volunteers must read and report their answers to participate.
