What: Sound the Alarm - educating on home fire safety and installing FREE 10-year smoke alarms in homes that need them.
The American Red Cross of Delmarva in partnership with the Blades & Seaford Fire Departments in Sussex County, DE are hosting an event to serve and help the community.
We could use your help to reach more homes! The more volunteers, the more homes reached!
Please join us in making Blades & Seaford homes safer and installing FREE 10-year smoke alarms in the communities designated by the Blades & Seaford Fire Department in tandem with Red Cross volunteers and the Fire Department.
- Anyone can help
- We need educators (People who share home fire safety (we have a script)
- Installers (People comfortable with a power screwdriver or drill to place easy to install smoke alarms in place)
- Door knockers (People who literally knock on doors and share what we are doing to get us in the doors.)
- Translators would also be beneficial for Spanish speaking residents.
