AccentCare Hospice is looking for volunteers to help support our patients and families throughout Delaware. AccentCare Hospice has a variety of ways that volunteers can support their local community. Social and Companionship Volunteers can spend time with patients creating bonds and providing social interaction. Caregiver Relief Volunteers can allow caregivers to care for themselves and their households without worrying about their loved ones being alone. Bereavement Volunteers can reach out to families who have lost loved ones within the last year to check in and remind them that we are thinking of them and are here for them if needed. Circle of Care Volunteers can reach out to patients at home to ensure they are well-supported and have all the necessary supplies and medications. Administrative Volunteers can help support our staff by answering phone calls, filing, and completing other administrative tasks. AccentCare Hospice provides care for patients throughout Delaware in various settings, including the patient's home, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, and inpatient hospice units within Christiana Care Wilmington Hospitals. Volunteers can visit patients around their schedule.
