End: Frawley Stadium (801 Shipyard Drive, Wilmington DE 19801)
Optional Return Trip: Leaves Frawley Stadium at 10:45 to return to New Castle
Join Urban Bike Project, Delaware Greenways, local riders and special guest Erick “The Bicycle Nomad” Cedeno for a 15 mile bicycle ride as we retrace the path of the Underground Railroad through New Castle County along a portion of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway.
The ride ends at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, where riders are encouraged to join the Delaware Juneteenth Association’s Freedom Festival and Parade. An optional return trip to New Castle leaves the stadium at 10:45am; those who join the parade should plan on completing their return trip independently.
This ride is free and open to all ages.
