The 31st Annual Labor Engagement Golf Classic celebrates a longstanding partnership between the AFL-CIO and United Way of Delaware. This tournament welcomes over 100 golfers and guests at Deerfield Golf Club on Friday, September 11, 2026.
We are seeking 16 volunteers to serve as Hole-in-One Witnesses.
Hole-in-One Witnesses play an important role in ensuring the integrity of the tournament. Volunteers will be stationed at the designated Hole-in-One contest hole to serve as official witnesses for golfers.
If a golfer scores a qualifying hole-in-one, the witness will verify the shot and immediately notify tournament staff so the prize can be officially documented.
Responsibilities:
• Remain at the assigned hole for the full 1.5-hour shift.
• Observe each golfer's shot at the designated Hole-in-One contest hole.
• Serve as the official witness for any qualifying hole-in-one.
• Notify tournament staff immediately if a qualifying shot occurs.
• Help ensure the contest is conducted fairly and accurately.
• Represent United Way of Delaware in a friendly and professional manner.
Volunteer Information
Please arrive 30 minutes before your assigned shift to allow for volunteer overlap and transportation to your assigned hole.
• Attire: Country club casual attire.
