The Village Volunteers are at work helping older adults to get to their medical appointments, shopping for their groceries, making friendly phone calls, writing cards to brighten spirits, letting them know that this will pass as long as we are following the guidance the CDC in order to limit exposure and passing on of the COVID-19 Virus.
Many older adults have lived through Polio, Whooping Cough, WW2, and so much more, yet they are anxiety ridden about this virus. Having someone to talk to and laugh with is valuable gift in times of stress.
