You may be aware of the recent Wind Event in New Castle County on last Monday, with winds of almost 110 mph, it did some serious damage to trees in several neighborhoods around Newark and Hockeissin. The New Castle County Office of Emergency Mgt (NCC OEM) has asked for help in clearing properties, things like moving tree debris and brush to the curb.
The forecast is for a high of 84 that day (yeah!), no rain in sight. Please bring some gloves if you want to protect your hands. Shorts are not advised, these branches can scratch you up! And please, no flip flops. Volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver in case of injury.
